Description
Responsibilities:
Develops and supports distribution center managers and supervisors to ensure productivity, safety and quality requirements are maintained.
Oversee daily plan and execution of all operations
Ensure weekly receiving and shipping plans are met within budgetary constraints in addition to maintaining excel reports with this information
Assist General Manager with labor budget planning
Manager budgetary compliance by ensuring variable and fixed operating expenses are within budgetary guidelines
Work closely with productions planners to ensure the plan meets production capabilities
Guarantees coordination of efforts between executive management and various corporate departments through proper communication
Provides direction and communicate company goals and objectives; along with detailed instruction when necessary
Assure staffing needs of the DC are met by maintaining outstanding hiring standards and interviewing candidates on an as needed basis
Provide counseling and progressive discipline up to and including termination when appropriate
Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Higher education, including two and four year degrees related to business management or supply chain preferred, but not required
Two to five years' experience in a supervisory role in a distribution center, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process
posses the ability to effectively manager in a professional work environment
The ability to exercise sound judgement
Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Duties may frequently involve the use of ladders and stairs
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit for extended period of time at desk
Ability to work on computer for extended period of time
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to bend and twist frequently
Ability to squat, kneel, balance and climb occasionally
