POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Day ServicesRelief position is responsible for providing direct care relief in DayHabilitation, Community Based Day, or Employment services depending onthe need each day. This position is a direct service role that assistsindividuals with developmental disabilities with skills trainingincluding independent living skills, communication, behavior, andaffective development; sensory-motor, social development, and self-helpas prescribed in each member\'s Day Habilitation Service Plan orIndividual Service Plan dependent on the assigned location.QUALIFICATIONS: Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED mustpossess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read &write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability tomulti-task and exercise good judgement. Ability to complete all initialand ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI,Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD andlicensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing). Valid USdriver\'s license and ready access to a vehicle. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Must maintain all certifications needed in the program including CPR,First Aid, Safe Techniques to Avoid Restraint and Training (START),Medication Administration (MAP) and BFAIR Human Rights Training. Mayneed to attend workshops, seminars or BFAIR functions as needed for jobdevelopment RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Treat each individual, co-worker,supervisor and others with the respect and dignity due every human beingand adhere to the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) HumanRights Standards, MassHealth regulations, and the Disabled PersonsProtection Commission\'s (DPPC) Mandated Reporter Guidelines aroundphysical and emotional abuse, including the timely reporting ofviolations. 2. Work with any of the individuals served, includingproviding physical assistance and/or assistance with mobility(light/heavy lifting and transfers), bathing, dressing and otherpersonal care tasks as well as medical treatments, laundry, recreationalactivities, etc. 3. Develop a positive rapport/relationship withindividuals supported to encourage and foster their own personal growth,individual control and emotional strength. 4.
