　　*Lifesteps is expanding services in Washington County and has an immediate need for Day Program Aides or Day Program Instructors in Eighty-Four, PA. *

　　* POSITION SUMMARY:* 

　　Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants!  The Program Aide/Instructor is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as crafts, community outings and life skills. 

　　Staff  observe and report on the accomplishments of participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment and the day program aide transports participants in the community using an Agency vehicle for learning, engagement and fun activities.

　　Full-time - Monday through Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM

　　*We also have part-time hours available with flexible schedules, or staff can work 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.      *

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Required:

　　High School Diploma/GEDCurrent driver's license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicleObtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by LifestepsFirst aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by LifestepsPreferred:

　　One-year experience working with individuals in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal attendant, TSS, etc.Associates or bachelor's degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other majorAssociation of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
