　　About the Team

　　Consisting of underwriters across Australia, the Commercial Institutions team makes up a key component of the wider AIG Australia Financial Lines business unit. The Financial Lines function plays a major part in AIG Australia’s market offering servicing clients across the entire business spectrum from SME’s to large multinational operations.

　　About the role

　　AIG’s underwriters develop insurance solutions that address the exposures of companies and individuals, and embody AIG’s tradition of innovation, bringing to market ground-breaking insurance solutions for our changing world. AIG’s underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals.

　　In this role you will be reporting to the Commercial Institutions Practice Lead, Financial Lines and helping to contribute to the ongoing success of AIG Australia . You will contribute to the growth and profit of the Financial Lines business unit by underwriting new and renewal business, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and new brokers, ensuring ongoing visibility of AIG in the market and executing on agreed strategies.

　　What you need to know:

　　Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

　　Underwrite new and renewal Financial Lines business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principles

　　Identify target accounts, and monitor progress against budget by utilising appropriate reports and tools

　　Maintain accurate files, registers and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service and policy issuance

　　Assist in the implementation of the Corporate Strategy for Financial Lines

　　Ensure the maintenance/development of solid working relationships with existing/new producing brokers

　　Attend client/broker functions when required

　　Ensure client service metrics as agreed by Profit Centre and/or Shared Services are adhered to

　　Support Senior and Experienced Underwriters on large complex accounts

　　What we’re looking for:
