Database Analyst (Oracle Financials)

　　Position Description

　　CGI Federal is seeking Database Analysts to support a component of the Department of Health and Human Services. This component is a single, integrated dual-entry accounting system that standardizes and centralizes federal financial accounting functions for all of CMS's programs.

　　Your future duties and responsibilities

　　• Perform Oracle Financials = database operations, activity scheduling, logging, patching, maintenance, backups, and data warehousing.

　　• Develop and deploy ETL solutions and reports to support applications, data integration, and operational needs.

　　• Manage database performance optimization through monitoring, indexing, database structural improvements, and hardware/software upgrades.

　　• Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of Oracle and other financial database management systems.

　　• Coordinate changes to computer databases.

　　• May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.

　　Required qualifications to be successful in this role

　　• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics

　　• 5 - 7 years of experience as a database analyst or similar role

　　• Oracle Database technology or related database experience

　　• In-depth knowledge of Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c)

　　• In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and RMAN

　　• Experience with Oracle tools such as SQL plus, PL/SQL, SQL loader or other Oracle database programming tools.

　　• Strong understanding of performance tuning methodologies.

　　• Working knowledge of typical IT organization and business units

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - $146,900
