Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations. Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role. Design and implement databases by performing proper requirements gatherings with various sessions with business users. Provide guidance and support to Application Developers Assist with schema design, code review, and SQL query tuning Data modeling using ER Studio and other database modeling tools. Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Python, R etc. Work with one or more database technologies that include and not limited to traditional RDBMS and document databases like IBM-DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Amazon RDS, RedShift. Must be willing to travel to set up systems to various clients at unanticipated locations across the nation and perform feasibility studies and evaluate user requirements and evaluate user requirements.
