Job Overview
Member of the Automotive North America Supply Chain Analytics team. Business Intelligence Analysts will independently perform analytics, gather insights, and leverage digital technology to identify opportunities and risks to the supply chain; They will work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business results based on derived analytics & insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify potential efficiency gains and design automation to increase team effectiveness
• Identify data sources, integrate multiple sources or types of data, and apply statistical analyses to draw conclusions/recommendations on business problems that can be presented visually and concisely - ETL
• Analyze sales patterns versus S&OP demand forecasts identifying trends, insights, and deviations which can be acted upon. Lead conversations with S&OP, sales, and materials planning to ensure input is incorporated into tactical plans.
• Collaborate with in-house and external IT teams to develop and deploy digital tools for the supply chain
• Data modeling of supply chain planning levers to reduce freight costs and better order fulfillment - inventory and backlog optimization
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor's in data analytics/information systems, statistics, business mathematics, or other applicable fields. Masters Preferred
• Proven ability/track record to translate business questions into analytics projects and provide hands-on practical use of data and analytics
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data. Knowledge of SQL is required. Basic knowledge of databases and containers like HANA, HADOOP, Spark, etc. is also preferred.
• Good proficiency in querying and analyzing data using Python is required, especially knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Sci-Kit learn & TensorFlow.
• Expert on front-end platforms such as Tableau is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of the AWS Redshift platform is preferable.
• Willingness to learn and work on new digital platforms.
• Experience engaging stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Understanding of supply chain data and reporting: Materials Planning Skills; On-Time Shipping and delivery performance; Past Due & Backorder.
• Proficiency in English is required.
