The Data Scientist is responsible for supporting data science initiatives that drive business profitability, increased efficiencies and improved customer experience. This role applies industry-leading analytical methodologies for working with large datasets to extract meaningful business insight and creatively solve business problems. Data Scientists are also responsible for ensuring that developed codes are documented into a library of reusable algorithms. Based on the specific data science team, this role would need to be knowledgeable in one or more data science

This role is expected to present insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences and explain the benefits and impacts of the recommended solutions. In addition, Data Scientists collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams, requiring effective communication skills, building relationships, and focus on understanding the overall business area being supported.

This team focuses on Pricing problems and leverages a Python and SQL based infrastructure.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $75 - $85 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Conduct EDA (exploratory data analysis)

Ideation and solutioning

Model development (test, train)

Create prototypes and POCs for quick validation and feasibility

Conduct experiments and quantify impact

Deploy into cloud production environments

Model performance monitoring

Experience Requirements:

Expertise in Operations Research and Mathematical Modeling.

Strong experience with Linear Programming (LP), Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP), and Network Optimization.

Machine Learning Statistical Modeling:

Proficiency in demand forecasting (Time Series, ARIMA, etc.).

Advanced understanding of Neural Networks (DNN, RNN, LSTM) for predictive analytics.

Experience with Tree-based models (XGBoost, Random Forest, etc.) and other statistical modeling techniques.

End-to-End Production Deployment:

Proficient in Python and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and backend development.

Expertise in optimization libraries and solvers such as CPLEX, Gurobi, OR-Tools, or similar tools.

Strong experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio etc.).

Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.

Proven track record of deploying models and data pipelines in cloud environments, preferably on GCP or other cloud platforms.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree in a Quantitative Field (e.g., Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.) + 5-7 years of relevant experience, or

PhD in a quantitative field + 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
