What You Will Do :
Provide project management and guidance in data science and analytics to support Federal Defense & Security clients, starting with TSA.
Identify and address client needs, build client relationships, and drive projects forward.
Provide analytics thought leadership, guide analytics initiatives/products, and review deliverables for quality.
Supervise and mentor direct reports.
Identify, design, and develop data science and analytics research projects that apply valid techniques while adhering to Agile methodologies to answer specific questions or problems.
Work with government team leads to create project roadmaps and plans in an Agile framework that include scope, resource needs, success factors, milestones, deliverables, risks, and estimated completion date.
Use IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) to track projects following an iterative cadence and work with scrum masters to maintain and report on research projects in EWM.
Participate in all Agile processes, which may evolve over time.
Compile project results into presentations or demos for technical and nontechnical audiences.
Present/communicate project findings and results in a clear and convincing manner and justify and defend methods and conclusions.
Support business development (such as RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers), internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development related to data science and analytics.
What You Will Need :
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
B.S. or B.A. in a quantitative, analytical, and computational discipline.
8+ years of relevant professional experience including managing data science and analytics projects, with a background in performing data science and analytics using tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Experience with Agile methodology and certification as an Agile Product Manager, Product Owner, or Scrum Master through organizations such as Scaled Agile Framework, (SAFe), PMI‐Agile, ICAgile, or a similar certifying authority (with ability to provide current certificate).
Ability to operate successfully on remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the greater DC metro area.
Familiarity with EWM.
Ability to go to client site 2 days every other week in Annapolis Junction, MD.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
M.S. or M.A. in a quantitative, analytical, and computational discipline.
10+ years of relevant professional experience including managing data science and analytics projects, with a background in performing data science and analytics using tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Experience using EWM.
Experience supporting Federal Defense & Security organizations.
