Data Reconciliation Analyst

Overview
The Planning, Strategy and Information Services (PSI) within Business Control Department Americas Division (BCDAD) is seeking an analyst to support data reconciliations. The team supports the BCDAD Loan Services group in ensuring clearing of working accounts, investigating discrepancies, and follow up on urgent business matters for the daily operation. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in loan operations, be highly motivated and can analyze data. The position will require candidates to cultivate partnerships with both business users and technical teams to perform data reconciliation, as well as investigate discrepancies.
Primary Responsibility
Review and follow-up of Daily Loan Reports
Validate base rates entered into Loan system
Daily Sundry Account Monitoring
Daily Suspense Monitoring and Distribution
Daily Bank Reconciliation, including Clearing Accounts
Reconcile various accounts, e.g., Accounts Receivable, Special Accounts Payable (WIP accounts) against the transaction being processed daily
Audit Balance Confirmation
Review and follow-up of Daily Loan System Ticklers (Group email inbox by LS team)
Remediate breaks between Credit Application system and Loan operations system
Perform Month-end Bank Reconciliations
Qualification
Experience and understanding of all aspects of loan or deal administration functions (including all aspects of funding), is required
General knowledge of finance and basic financial accounting
Experience in LoanIQ, or other commercial lending system, is preferred
Analytical and inquisitive nature. Understands how to analyze data breaks in bank loan transactions and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution
Ability to synthesize technical information, analyze risk and identify mitigating factors
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize work by setting and meeting realistic deadlines, forecasting and communicating changes resulting from risks and issues.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
