　　In the Commodities Data Team, we're responsible for on-boarding, analyzing, applying and supplying it to our clients for their financial and commodity data needs. More than 320,000 business leaders rely on the real time financial information available on the Bloomberg Professional Service. Our products run on intelligence and insight provided by the Commodities team. Our team of analysts influence decisions and move the markets every day.

　　We are responsible for the data management of datasets across Power and gas, Oil, Carbon, Agriculture and Metals. The team provides relevant, timely, and accurate data to empower customers to drive their analysis of commodity markets, both pricing and fundamentals.

　　The Role:

　　As the APAC Commodities Data Product Owner, you will own the data strategy for commodities data that feeds into the Bloomberg products. You will use your market knowledge and data management skills to maintain and evolve a business plan for the commodities data products across various Bloomberg platforms. You will establish links with key players in the market, and apply product thinking to data to provide the right capabilities to consumers at the right time. You will collaborate with other departments such as Product and Engineering and play a key role in empowering our clients to make well informed business decisions. In addition, you will need to develop a proven understanding of our core workflows and market coverage for both commodities pricing and fundamentals data. You will also be involved in our data modeling efforts, growing our commodities taxonomy model and improving the discoverability of our content.

　　Be able to communicate and prioritize business needs and desired outcomes that guide the strategic direction for commodities data productDesign and coordinate processes to ensure high quality of commodities data.Have a strong understanding of data pipelines for the automated ingestion, preparation and storage of dataFunction as a central resource with other Bloomberg functions (e.g., product, engineering) as the commodities data move through their lifecycle.Ensure deliverables are well understood, and aligning with the overall business goalsEstablish relationships with market participants and ensure client needs and trends are accounted for within our product designStrategically advise those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific commodities data set or group of data setsWork with Marketing and Sales to promote our product to clientsStay on top of market developments and client needs and use your market knowledge to perform market analysis and generate premium contentAssist our world-renowned client support help desk with raised client inquiries, and upskill our clients through training

　　You'll need to have:

　　4+ years of work experience in data product owner/manager role or related fields such data quality, data modeling, and/or data architecture 4+ years of experience with data analysis using tools such as Python, SQL, Excel2+ years of demonstrated experience working with commodities markets and productsAbility to discuss technical concepts and evaluating trade-offs in design with Engineering and ProductExperience in data quality management that ensures data is ready to use, for example, developing proactive data quality strategies, crafting metrics to measure data quality and reporting across organizationsStrong interest in problem solving particularly to modify and improve processes and workflowsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical processes and solutions to business partners and managementAbility to influence others and lead change by communicating and coordinating with internal/external groups to define project scope and meet project deliverables across the implementation processEffective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordinglyDemonstrated continuous career growth within an organizationFluency in both written and spoken EnglishBachelor's degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
