About the Department
The Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE), is situated within theBiological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago Medicine. CCHEaims to eliminate all new HIV transmission events by 2041.
The University of Chicago\'s position on the South Side makes ituniquely situated to test, treat, and prevent new HIV infections in ahighly affected population. The South Side communities and majorityBlack suburbs connected to them to the South represents the largestcontiguous Black population in the United States. By using ourintegrated HIV transmission elimination approaches, we are beginning tomake new infections in these communities less frequent.
Job Summary
The Data Management and Reporting Analyst is responsible for meticulousand accurate data management for both service and research project data.This includes retrieval of all patient/client or participant data fromclinical, research, or service databases. This role will also beresponsible for developing and implementing regular data quality andassurance checks to ensure high quality data, as well as production ofreports for internal and external partners to monitor project progress.This position candidate will assist with the development of abstracts,posters, and presentations for local and national conferences,manuscripts, and other research and service outputs.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all data management aspects of research studies andservice programs.Responsible for generating documentation for projects, e.g.procedural manuals, protocol worksheets, codebooks, questionnaires,progress reports, addendums, and/or adverse event reports.Performs quality assurance audits (QA) conducted by study sponsors,federal agencies, or specially designated review groups, as well asQA summary reports for staff (internally) and stakeholders(externally) in a timely, accurate manner.Provides data management and data collection recommendations(including recommending data collection tools) to staff to improvedata quality.Oversees the general maintenance of our data collection tools (i.e.REDCap, Apricot), as well as develop any new programs and/orprojects within these systems, respectively.Prepares analytic datasets for research recruitment, analyses, anddata abstractions and preliminary descriptive statistics.Facilitates the execution of data usage agreements (DUA) and/or datamanagement plans (DMP) to share data to internal and externalpartners/institutions.Demonstrates proficiency in the use of clinical and research-relatedcomputer programs.Utilizes critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solvingskills.Attends multidisciplinary conferences and workshops.Analyzes moderately complex data sets for the purpose of extractingand purposefully using applicable information.Provides professional support to staff or faculty members indefining the project and applying principals of data science inmanipulation, statistical applications, programming, analysis andmodeling.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
