Kforce is looking for a Data Engineer (Oracle/SQL) for a contract to hire or direct hire opportunity with a client in the Overland Park, KS area. The right candidate will be willing to work three days onsite - no exceptions.Day to Day Responsibilities:
New Development Programming: Data Engineer will be creating new code based upon user stories and use-cases to solve specific business issues
Analysis: Working with business subject matter experts to find out how a new or existing system-supported process should function
Break fix & Maintenance Programming: Extending and refitting existing code to handle new use-cases, fix bugs, or improve performance
Architecture/Planning: Working with Architecture and Planning team to improve specifications, capture use-cases, lay out execution timelines, and give feedback for continuous improvement
Documenting: As a Data Engineer, you will be creating and maintaining systems documentation, including troubleshooting guides, process guides, user information, and technical documents
Tier 3 Help Desk Support: Performing root-cause analysis with senior developers and IT staff on complex escalated issues to delve deep into the system, target solutions, and work to resolve them
A minimum of 7 years of professional development experience as a member of a team
Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL or SQL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences, including those with little to no technical background (e.g., Executives, End-Users, IS Architects, Junior Programmers, etc.)
Strong analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility to juggle multiple projects and prioritize work to meet evolving deadlines
Ability to work a hybrid schedule with three days a week in office
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
