The eCOA Datamart & Reporting team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer and a creative problem solver to help us create a POC to optimize data streaming and extend the framework to fetch data faster and render on Reporting application.
We're building our Data Reporting platform on top of a few core principles and technologies:
Data intensive workflows using Snowflake, PostgresQL, MySQL or similar relational data storesLogicComposer to build Dashboards and VisualsAutomated development and testing harnesses using GoCD.Cloud-native infrastructure and deployment servicesWe are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Data Engineer Intern to join our growing team. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced engineers to build and optimize data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and quality. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with data scientists to develop and collaborate.
You will report to the manager of engineering and work with a team lead on a daily basis. You are a motivated, hands-on developer, passionate about building scalable solutions and will individually contribute in the following ways:
Independently implement solutions for features within your area of expertise including delivering new projects from scratchCollaborate with Product, Data Engineers, and Software Engi
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, data science, or a related fieldStrong programming skills in Python, Java and SQLSelf-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Big Data technologies (AVRO, Parquet, Iceberg, Hudi, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow) Snowflake Data Solutions, hands-on Data warehousing methodologies and modeling techniquesExperience with ETL/ELT tools is a plusExperience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and technologiesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsThe salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $32.00 to $37.00 per hour with a $3,500 sign on bonus.
