Here, you will make an impact by:Provide technical leadership on the data architect and engineering for digital growth programs.Manage the advancement of digital data platforms which drive new product growth.Design and create the overall structure and architecture for data systems for digital products.Guide the creation of the infrastructure, tools, and frameworks needed to ingest, process, and manage large volumes of data.Accelerate new product R&D by creating a robust and scalable data pipeline.Work collaboratively with stakeholders to translate business requirements into an effective data architecture.Contribute to building an organization to scale the research, development, operations, and support of customer-facing, digital platforms.Lead intellectual property creation and protection for innovative and groundbreaking solutions.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, candidates must have the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified before start)Seven (7) years of experience leading data architecture or engineering in a private, public, government, or military environmentFour (4) years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or Cloud Architect in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a similar major from an accredited institutionUnderstanding of data modeling, database design, and data management principles.Proficiency with a variety of tools for data modeling, database management systems, and data governance.Proficiency in using multiple data engineering tools and technologies, like Python, R, ETL, SQL, and NoSQL.Experience scaling products or teams for data-driven digital platforms.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using enterprise tools.Understanding of intellectual property and the ability to monitor the state of the art.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work location:3M Center, Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
