Job Description

　　Insight Global is looking for 2 Data Analysts to join one of our top banking clients for a 6-month contract with high opportunities of extension. This is a 2-day hybrid role downtown Toronto. These Data Analysts will be joining the risk group responsible for monitoring and helping to define policies and products that address areas of significant risk. This team is accountable for a cross-functional, multi-year data architecture and technology platform development initiative to deliver new data and tech capabilities to support robust and timely insights related to risk appetite and capital management and enable data governance practices that enhance transparency and data integrity. The Data Analysts will be expected to understand and articulate the use case based on the business opportunity and the estimated value being delivered. They will use advanced analytical algorithms and technologies to mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to obtain insights and discover opportunities through end-to-end analysis of the existing data pipeline. The analysis will help to design and construct new processes for capital reporting, leveraging big data technology to design solutions that deliver smarter business decisions, improve customer experience, and drive productivity. They will collaborate with other data and analytics professionals and teams to optimize, refine, and scale analysis into mature analytics solutions.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　1-2+ years of hands-on experience in performing deep-dive analysis from databases and deciphering technical documentation to understandable rules

　　1-2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, AWS SageMaker, and PySpark

　　Fast learner with keen interest in big-data applications and a self-starter attitude

　　Ability to build various prototypes independently (including data processes, visualizations, and calculations)

　　Conducts large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms

　　Ability to translate business needs to technical specifications

　　Ability to develop tools and deliver training programs for the use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users

　　Ability to document data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business and group processes

　　Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills to manage multiple deliveries simultaneously and work with different teams and stakeholders to enhance usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions - Knowledge of BASEL Accords and financial products

　　CFA/FRM or other related certifications null
