We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst with expertise in Cognos, Access, and Excel for analyzing data and report writing. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analytics methodologies and a proven track record of extracting actionable insights from complex datasets. Additionally, familiarity with Deltek’s CostPoint software is highly desirable. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract and analyze complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop and maintain data models, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and availability of data.
Design and create comprehensive reports and visualizations using Cognos, Access, and Excel, presenting findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective data-driven solutions.
Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously enhancing data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
Proven expertise in Cognos, Access, and Excel for analyzing data and report writing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
Proficiency in data modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with Deltek’s CostPoint software (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an HR Analyst, including knowledge of HR analytics methodologies and practices (a plus, but not a hard requirement).Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
