Job Description:

The ISSO ensures implementation of adequate system security to prevent, detect, and recover from security breaches. An ISSO may have responsibility for more than one system, provided there is no conflict. The ISSO must be knowledgeable of the information and processes supported by the system. ISSO Checklists consisting of recurring tasks ISSOs must perform are managed in organization's implementation of its current GRC solution; ISSOs receive notification to complete checklists when they are generated

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience: 10+ years of related IT cyber security experience

● Required Technical Skills:

• Able to ensure the system is operated, used, maintained, and disposed of IAW documented security policies and procedures

• Able to conduct security impact assessments and advise system owners of risks to their systems and obtaining assistance from the ISSM

• Able to assist system owners in completing and maintaining the appropriate AA documentation

• Able to complete the recurring activities in ISSO checklists

• Able to ensure the user identification and authentication scheme used in the system is administered as intended, including reviewing system role assignments to validate compliance with principles of least privilege

• Able to perform other ISSO related duties

• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

• May serve as a team or task lead

Security Clearance Level: HSPD-12

Required Skills and Abilities: Able to work with the system owners and ISSM to develop, implement, and manage POAMs for their respective systems IAW. CISSP cert

Preferred Skills : Security +, Privacy, Cloud cert

The likely salary range for this position is $127,254 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
