This role is responsible for developing and maintaining cybersecurity plans, strategy, and policy to support and align with organizational cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance. The role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience in policy development and analysis. Documents computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests. Reviews violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated. Trains users and promotes security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency. Develops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs. Confers with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.

Additional duties include :
Monitors current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
Modifies computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change individual access status.
Monitors use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information in computer files.
Performs risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
Encrypts data transmissions and erect firewalls to conceal confidential information as it is being transmitted and to keep out tainted digital transfers.
Required Qualifications:
MA/MS from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, telecommunications or other related field. An additional 6 years of experience, without a bachelor's degree or an additional 3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree may be substituted for degree requirement.

Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
