JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: Cutting Tool Design Engineer Location:Brookfield, WI Job Id: 218 # of Openings: 1 SUMMARY OF POSITION: Underthe direction of the Engineering Supervisor, the Design Engineer willwork with sales and end customer to maintain specifications on customermachined parts utilizing cutting tool design and application support.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Work with machine builders and end-users todevelop a complete machining process from tool design throughapplication support. Quotation of tooling packages complete withstandard products and tool holding recommendations. Utilize 3DModeling/design software preferably Siemens NX or equivalent. Designcutting tools, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customerspecifications, and within cost constraints. Review and interpretcustomer specifications and sales agreements. Ensure conformance toANSI, NAS and company standards for quality and manufacturability.Maintain design layouts in the SAP. EDUCATION: A bachelor\'s degree inmechanical engineering or industrial engineering preferred. Associatesdegree or three to five years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis inmetal working or machine trades. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of fiveyears direct involvement with the design and application of roundcutting tools; prefer with minimum of two years direct customer contactexperience as either cutting tool sales representative or applicationengineer. Understanding of machine spindle adaptation and tool holding.Thorough knowledge of latest developments in machining methods,manufacturing equipment, machining techniques and materials. Basicblueprint reading skills and working knowledge of math is preferredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Proficiency with MS office including excelStrong analytical, problem solving, leadership and ability tocommunicate with complex matters.
