Summary
Provide front-line supervision and administrative within a call-center environment. Primarily responsible for the assignment of work to non-exempt personnel, as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area
Essential Functions
Coordinates the day-to-day operation of all aspects of assigned logistics customers, up to and including all arrival and departure check calls, all in transit and cross border activity, all on time carrier performance, all exception coordination and management.
In addition, responsible for driving all Carrier. Web Compliance and On Time Performance within the given customer network as well as addressing any additional customer requests such as added routes to a given network, the coordination of canceled routes with the carrier base, or the adjustment of any given planned routing in order to meet customer needs.
Required to have a working understanding of multiple customer business rules and procedural requirements and may, through day to day customer interaction, be required to resolve any customer concerns or issues
Handles front line customer requests; identifies and elevates any customer issues if needed.
Problem solving related to customer, and routes
Monitoring routes (Track and Trace)
Additional Responsibilities
Recommends location process initiation and/or improvements needed
Any location specific requirements may be required
Skills and Abilities
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to work independently and as member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills internally as well as externally
Ability to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred
Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred
Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred
Qualifications
H.S. diploma/GED required
One (1) year or more Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics or a distribution environment required
One (1) year or more Experience in a customer service environment required
Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g., shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred
Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred
Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred
