  The North American Strategic Customers Team is seeking a customer-focused professional like you to bring the full breadth of BASF capabilities to our most strategic customers. Part of the North American Customer Experience Team, the Strategic Customers Team creates and delivers the tools and processes – and provides strategic guidance and advice – to improve the customer experience for BASF’s most strategic customers.

  As the Customer Insights Manager – Strategic Customers, you will be responsible for identifying and diagnosing operational gaps and challenges within the Strategic Customer Networks in North America, comprised of commercial and functional experts from across BASF’s many businesses. You will be considered the primary go-to person for all operational aspects in the delivery of a seamless customer experience for our most strategic customers in North America, helping them overcome specific commercial or operational challenges that are hampering full customer satisfaction and mutual growth.

  As a Customer Insights Manager – Strategic Customers, you create chemistry by...

  Identifying, diagnosing, and driving solutions for significant customer experience challenges or opportunities with strategic customers.

  Searching for and implementing new ideas and approaches to improve the customer experiencedrawing on internal best practices and external, outside-in learnings to amplify your impact.

  Evaluating and improving end-to-end customer-facing processes across the organization and across the entire Integrated Sales & Operations Planning landscape (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Sales & Operations Planning)

  Developing continuous improvement plans and working with assigned Strategic Customer Networks and other teams to implement these plans.

  Identifying required changes to existing processes and systems and facilitating their design, development, and implementation.

  Promoting cross-business cooperation and acting as an entrepreneurial change agent for a unified approach to target customers.

  Supporting the exchange and promotion of best practice solutions and process improvements, as well as maintaining process knowledge and integrity.

  If you have...

  Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or other technical/commercial relevant discipline.

  5+ years of experience in Logistics Management, Project Management, Operations, Transportation, or Customer Service roles.

  5+ years of experience in a matrixed, complex organization and experience influencing without authority up, down, and across an organization.

  Experience leading/managing projects (Lean Six Sigma project experience and behavioral Change Management Skills a plus).

  Strong problem-solving mindset, critical thinking and adaptability to changing situations.

  Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  Working knowledge of various BASF systems, i.e. ERP and SAP, particularly your familiarity with SAP functionality to include master data, EDI, customer care/order entry, shipping documents, freight payment, etc.

  Supply Chain certification such as APICS and/or SAP ERP would be beneficial.
