Become a CGE Technical Requirements and Verification Senior Engineer who will be responsible for developing detailed product and system technical specification and requirements based on AMI 2.0 benchmarking study, market research and Customer Grid Edge (CGE)/AMI 2.0 technology road map. This position will also support in developing detailed test plans, milestones, and timelines for proof-of-concept (POC) development and testing, field testing of selected use cases, and production device testing and field implementation plan.

· Develop technical specifications and design requirements for CGE Product and platform based on the business requirements document, use case implementation plan, industry standards, SCE’s core foundational requirements of future proofing, interoperability, safety, and scope of the CGE program and desired product/platform features etc. by collaborating with the internal partners and other industry stakeholders.
· Collaborate with internal and external partners towards developing CGE POC prototype. Create plans for POC CGE device and platform qualification and approval through lab testing, compliance certification and various other internal product acceptance phases such as unit testing and system testing etc. Create detailed results analysis and reporting, work with vendors to actively resolve issues and implement resolutions to meet POC delivery and field-testing product delivery timelines.
· Develop detailed Product evaluation plans for CGE POC product for lab testing and field-testing phase including major milestones planning, use case scope, testing objectives and schedule, major deadlines, resource allocation and planning, evaluation activities and execution planning, stakeholder testing and approval, and product compliance activities etc.
Qualifications
The essentials
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in a scientific/technical/math field
· 7 or more
· years of engineering experience
· Technical experience conducting product testing and evaluation
The preferred
· Master’s Degree in a technical field
· Experience in product development efforts within Metering or Grid Modernization devices
· Experience with utility enterprise and/or grid information and systems
· Experience with utility meter technologies and data management systems
· Experience with electric grid planning, operations, and apparatus
· Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning
You should know
· This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
