VACANCIES: The results of this eligible list will be used to fill vacancies as they occur in all agencies under the jurisdiction of the Washington County Department of Civil Service including all County departments; Towns; Villages; Washington-Saratoga-Warren Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services (WSWHE BOCES) and all School Districts where the position exists.
SALARY: Varies with Location
APPLICATION FEE: There is a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE of $5.00 for this examination.*ALL CHECKS AND/OR MONEY ORDERS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO WASHINGTON COUNTY TREASURER.
APPLICATION FEE WAIVER: A waiver of application fee will be allowed if you are unemployed and primarily responsible for the support of a household.
RESIDENCY: There are no general residency restrictions. Towns, Villages or School Districts may give preference in appointment to their own residents and may require residency within the jurisdiction during the term of the appointment.
DUTIES:*This work involves cleaning and maintenance of assigned sections thereof. *In addition to routine cleaning activities, the work includes semi-skilled repair and maintenance tasks and various ground keeping activities.*General supervision is received from a designated senior or higher-level custodial employee. *Immediate supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate cleaning and maintenance.
