THE POSITION
Do you enjoy cleaning and providing custodial services? The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is looking for someone to be responsible for custodial care throughout the buildings, facilities and grounds at Fort Indiantown Gap, (FIG). Work involves a variety of cleaning functions and the use of custodial equipment and supplies.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will maintain knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and p erform your work in accordance with DMVA safety rules. It will be your responsibility to clean offices, lobbies, hallways and restrooms. Your duties will include:
Cleaning and sanitizing sinks, toilets, and other related fixtures,
Sweeping, mopping, and buffing hard floors and vacuuming carpets,
Separating recyclable materials from regular trash and disposing of all refuse into proper receptacles,
Replacing paper products and refilling soap in restrooms,
Moving furniture and large equipment, as well as delivering supplies throughout FIG, and
Cleaning walkways and other outside areas of debris and snow.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rotating days and weekends, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
No previous experience and training required. Additional Requirements:
You must be in possession of a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Previous cleaning experience
Class C driver's license
