CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR
Elliott-Lewis is seeking a Custodial Supervisor who will assist with managing the janitorial, custodian, sanitation, and cleaning work by our subcontractors and vendors. This Custodial Supervisor will act as an assistant project manager to coordinate client needs to ensure the client’s building and property is tidy, clean, and orderly. Our client is a large airport located in Southern Philadelphia with more than five terminals and more than 100 gates, as well as a second smaller airport at a second location. The person selected as this Custodial Supervisor will oversee the cleanliness of both properties with a primary focus on the indoor areas of the facilities, but also the immediate outdoor areas surrounding the buildings. Please note that the position regularly works an early first shift of 6:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday-Friday, but may need to work second shift and third shift to ensure special projects and goals are met as needed.

Responsibilities
Coordinate cleaning schedules with multiple team members including our cleaning / janitorial vendor, building tenants, and other subcontractors.
Inspect and verify the custodial and cleaning work being completed and staff onsite.
Ensure the work orders for custodial and janitorial tasks are completed and closed out in client’s Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
Provide updates on open work orders and coordinate plans to ensure client requests do not remain open past their due dates.
Ensuring that the customer's facility is maintained effectively and mindful of costs.
Promote a safe work environment.
Encourage an efficient work environment where subcontractors, vendors, and other workers are communicating clearly and operating harmoniously.
Coordination with the supervisor at the custodial vendor on any issues that may occur.
At times, may need to order materials or equipment, tools, or supplies to ensure client’s building is in first-class condition.
Required Skills
Strong organizational, participative management and verbal and written communications skills are required.
Work experience and/or combined education equivalent to a minimum of seven (7) years of technical facility management expertise.
Comfortable learning new computer programs
Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
High school diploma or GED Equivalent
Required to work first shift, with occasional needs to work second shift, and rarely will need to work third shift.
Preferred Skills
Of the required work experience, preferred to specifically have three (3) years of experience in the area of operations and maintenance project management.
Certification or education in project management valued but not required.
Physical Requirements

Frequently Required: Bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling. Working with various chemicals
Occasionally Required: Working with arms raised over head. Max carries 75lbs. Push/pull 40-75lbs. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Working from or on ladders. Working at heights. Exposure to high sound levels. Operate motorized equipment.
