The Position
Custodial Supervisors plan, organize and direct the overall custodial and general building maintenance services for assigned facilities consisting of offices, classrooms, conference areas, special event centers and other facilities.

Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a Custodial Supervisor 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following Programs: Desert Regional Center- Intermediate Care Facility (DRC-ICF) The Custodial Supervisor will supervise all custodial workers and assign written work assignments. Incumbents will ensure custodial coverage of all homes and buildings and conduct daily or random inspections for cleaning or safety issues and perform written bi-monthly inspections. Incumbents will prepare and maintain accurate reports of all outside contractors that pertain to any custodial issues, develop work performance standards, work schedules and can prepare purchase orders on new cleaning products and equipment. Conducts safety meetings on a regular basis and provides training on the safe and proper methods of using and mixing cleaning chemicals as well as providing training in cleaning and safety. Incumbents will purchase and maintain inventory control of all custodial supplies, ward supplies and equipment.

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of building custodial and general building maintenance work, one year of which must have included lead experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Notes
