Culinary Center/Test Kitchen InternProvide hands-on training alongside Corporate Chefs, culinary professionals, dietitians & nutritionists in a food manufacturers' test kitchen business environment, working in both retail and foodservice divisions. Culinary skills will be leveraged for internal and external meetings, product and recipe development, innovation concepts, and quality assurance testing. Interns will also have experience working with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to the overall Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods business.Culinary skills and knowledge will be leveraged for the following:Opportunity to learn and perform Culinary Center product testing proceduresRecipe testing and recipe developmentUnderstand and be able to track food trendsExposure to developing content for owned platforms (ex: Instagram, Facebook, website, etc.)Co-create with the Culinary Center Manager(s) on a summer project that has a lasting impact on the departmentExperience-Education (Required):College student majoring in Food Science, Food and Nutrition, Culinary Science, or closely related area.Competencies-Skills (Required):Demonstrate a true passion for cooking, food, and flavorsDemonstrate a strong background with hands-on experience in basic culinary techniques and cooking methodsEqual interest in the science and creativity of foodGood written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailsAbility and desire to taste, critique, and provide honest feedback on a variety of foodservice and retail products, recipes and ingredients throughout the workdayExperience-Education (Preferred):ServSafe certificationExperience working in a foodservice establishment kitchenExperience in preparing or testing recipesExperience with food photography and videoUnderstand the safe operation procedures of standard food service equipmentAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
