　　Schedule: PRN Monday-Friday up to 20 hours per week. One Saturday per month for 3 hours for our bariatric support group.

　　Responsibilities

　　Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments.

　　Assesses patients for nutritional status. Provides interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.

　　Collaborates with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.

　　Monitors tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommends therapy adjustments as necessary.

　　Provides medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.

　　Provides nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.

　　Researches and takes initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems.

　　Assists in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy. Maintains sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Examiners For Dietetics and Nutritionists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

　　Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Educator specializing in Diabetes Management preferred.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Why Join Our Team
