Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Gilbert the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198-bed not-for profit hospital with more than 1300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. In 2014 Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital. Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Today it is the fifth largest employer in Gilbert. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Mercy Gilbert provided more than $24 million in community benefit. Responsibilities

As our CT Tech at MGMC you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. Every day you’ll create cross-section images of the skeleton tissues and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. To be successful in this role you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography magnetic resonance interventional radiology mammography sonography ultrasound and/or nuclear medicine and PET

Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order

Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients teammates and yourself.

Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting calibrating and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of two years CT tech experience.

Graduate AMA approved school of radiologic technology

Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites.

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.

CRT-State of Arizona. ARRT-R-National.

Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Registry by the ARRT in CT Scanning

Pay Range

$49.13 - $49.13 /hour
