　　New hires with less than 1 year of experience may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

　　The CT Tech is responsible for the following:

　　Performs routine imaging examinations in CT on a scheduled and emergency basis.

　　Reviews and evaluates requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for CT examinations.

　　Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.

　　Performs basic imaging analysis (e.g. 3D).

　　Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.

　　Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for adjusting to patients' specific needs.

　　Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.

　　Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service.

　　Follows Departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations

　　Practices High Reliability Training.

　　Patient/Family Relations

　　Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.Equipment

　　Professional Development

　　Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.

　　The CT Tech must have the following:

　　RT/CT Massachusetts State License

　　Advanced CT Massachusetts State License is required within 12 months of hire date for CT trainees.

　　RT/CT registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)

　　Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.

　　BLS certification

　　Associates degree in Allied Health

　　1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist
