Role Summary/Purpose
The CT Clinical Solutions Development Scientist will design CT clinical features by exploring advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligent / Deep Learning with global scientist team and CT image quality experts, and develop the new solutions for the product with multi-functional team like CT systems engineering, software engineering, clinical application experts. CT Clinical Solutions Development Scientist is considered as an expert in CT imaging, clinical applications, AI/DL, software development, working on complex technological solutions, solving issues and developing new solutions by leveraging wealth of technical experiences and knowledges.
Essential Responsibilities
GE Healthcare develops industry-leading CT technologies & innovations to deliver applications & imaging capabilities that enable physicians and radiologists to improve the level of patient care. As a CT Clinical Applications Engineer, you will become a leader to take on the responsibility in CT clinical solution design for product design/development phase but also post market, install based systems, and also working with the platform team and related sub-system team to deploy the design to the multi segment CT scanners. You will report directly to the CT IQ/Applications Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Working with cross-functional engineers, marketing team, product definition team, and global team to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps
Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on new product introductions
Using broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products
Providing domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance
Providing technical leadership for project execution
Driving the implementation of new solutions in CT scanner through product programs
Developing methods to improve customer workflow, diagnostic quality, and deliver system-level designs to deliver an effective solution
Driving the CT clinical application requirements definitions, sub-system integrations, and risk management through product programs
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics or a closely related field
More than 3 years development experience in medical imaging field.
More than 2 years image processing and clinical application field.
More than 2 years cording experience using script languages like python, sh/csh, matlab and etc.
Experience working with others on a global basis and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment
Effective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion
Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment
Business level English communication skill to drive global development work
Must be legally authorized to work in Japan full-time
Desired Characteristics
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics or a closely related field
Medical imaging devices development experience
Demonstrated record of innovation in technology development
Software cording and/or in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation.
Enough knowledge in the CT system or comparable medical imaging system design as well as its maintenance design
System integration experiences under the solid quality management system
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
