A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesPerforms and supports research activities as outlined in study protocols, IRBs, and quality improvement projects conducted by the department; including but is not limited to:Assists with the conduct of clinical studies as outlined in the study protocol/IRB, working closely with the Section Research Coordinator and PI; performing study procedures according to recognized skill level and certifications and within the local and federal regulations and guidelines; adheres to good clinical practices and completes/maintains all necessary research training for study conduct.Assists investigators and Section Research Coordinator with ongoing clinical research and QI projects, including data collection, analysis, and preparation for presentations.Assists with collection and control of research data and subject information, and maintains accurate data collection of all study data. Conducts accurate and timely subject data collection and maintains accurate record keeping.Ensures that all study data are maintained in accordance with appropriate patient confidentiality, HIPAA, and IRB regulations.Assists with patient recruitment, enrollment, and obtaining of informed consent, when applicable. Ensures that the investigator verifies that the subject meets inclusion/exclusion criteria; verifies that the subject and/or legal guardian has provided informed consent/assent; answers questions related to the protocol procedure as applicable; acts as a patient/family advocate;Conducts accurate and timely subject data collection and maintains accurate record keeping. Ensures that all study data are maintained in accordance with appropriate patient confidentiality and IRB regulations.Coordinates and schedules subject study visits with other hospital services and the PI/Section Research Coordinator;Assists PI and Section Research Coordinator in education
