SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The CRM Systems Developer will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our Salesforce platform, which is a central component of our integrated CRM, ticketing, omni-channel marketing, and web systems. This role is responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing Salesforce to support a wide range of business functions and workflows as well as integrations with other platforms. The CRM Systems Developer will work collaboratively with the CRM Systems Administrator, the CRM Product Manager, web developers, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of the Museum across a wide range of functional areas and will help advance the Museum's digital transformation goals and enable a 360-degree view of constituents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the technical lead for the development, configuration, and customization of the Salesforce platform to meet the business requirements of the Museum, leveraging expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Process Builder, and other Salesforce technologies to provide creative solutions that optimize and automate business processes, drive efficiencies, and improve user experiences.
Works with stakeholders, the CRM Systems Administrator, and the CRM Product Manager to gather and document requirements, design solutions, and develop custom code and configurations to meet business needs and under the guidance of the Digital Platforms and Solutions Architect to implement solutions aligned with technology strategy and architecture goals.
Provides technical guidance, support, and training to the CRM Systems Administrator on the Salesforce platform, including best practices and development standards. Provides end user support, including creating and resolving support tickets, and working with Salesforce and other vendors to raise issues or seek help when needed.
Develops and maintains integrations between Salesforce and other systems to streamline business processes and improve data quality. Works in close coordination with the IT data team and others to ensure data integrity and security.
Works closely with the CRM Systems Administrator to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of the Salesforce platform by monitoring and optimizing system performance and implementing best practices for security and scalability.
Remains current on new Salesforce releases, features, and functionality, and make recommendations for how they can be used to improve the Museum's business processes and workflows. Summarizes and communicates information on each release and its potential impact. Works with the CRM Systems Administrator and others to test, evaluate, and ensure smooth roll-out of releases to the production environment.
Develops and maintains technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides.

This position is Hybrid, full-time, Monday - Friday

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors of Science or Arts degree
Experience: 3 or more years of Salesforce development experience
Demonstrated experience in Salesforce development, with a strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Process Builder.
Demonstrated experience with Salesforce integrations, including SOAP and REST APIs, and experience with third-party integration tools such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.
Experience with version control systems such as Git and deployment tools such as Salesforce DX.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and implement complex solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of the Salesforce non-profit service pack (NPSP).
Experience providing training, especially of technical information to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to write unambiguous prose related to technical and data concepts, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to collaborate and help lead processes that span across departmental areas.
Ability to adjust and adapt to changing circumstances and shifting priorities.
STARTING SALARY:
Exempt $90,000-$102,000/ year (Salaried).
