Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist in the wholesale distribution industry, located in Sharonville, Ohio. This role involves managing and maintaining customer credit records, processing credit applications, and resolving credit inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and implementing action plans to collect delinquent payments. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and update them as necessary

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to identify overdue payments

• Implement strategies to collect delinquent payments and reduce the company's credit exposure

• Utilize AS400 and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze credit data

• Conduct B2B collections and understand lien law in the context of the construction industry

• Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions with customers

• Perform billing functions and manage collection processes effectively

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall financial objectives.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Familiarity with billing functions is required

• Experience in collection processes is essential

• Knowledge of credit processes is needed

• Customer service skills are vital

• Prior experience in B2B collections is beneficial

• Familiarity with AS400 system is advantageous
