About this Position * The Commerce Director’s Office provides centralized finance, budget, communications, marketing, legal, IT and HR services and resources for the Department Divisions and attached boards. The Creative Director reports to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMO) and is responsible for managing the day-to-day creative needs of the Department.The Creative Director directs the planning and execution of warm season, winter, and shoulder season campaigns that market Montana to visitors; however, the Creative Director will be relied upon across the Department as directed by the CMO. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day work of the Data & Research, Creative, Web and Media Agencies of Record (AORs). The Creative Director is involved with the ideation and pitching of campaign ideas, supported by AORs and directs the campaign execution and production activities for VisitMT and the Department. This position is responsible for the justification, production, and management of publications for VisitMT. In addition, the successful candidate will ensure a Joint Venture (JV) program that enables Commerce partners to benefit from the Department’s media opportunities. *What are we looking for?__ Education and Experience: // · A bachelor’s degree in marketing or public relations. · 5 years applicable experience in economic development, destination, experience, or similar industry marketing and brand management. · 1 years' experience directly supervising staff, including managing teams and scope of work for marketing projects. · Media buying experience. · Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. · Bonus if candidate has media production experience. · Bonus if candidate has marketing design experience.
