About Court Security Deputy

　　GENERAL SUMMARY

　　This position oversees the security of the Court facilities assigned to them.

　　ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Duties include Securing buildings and conducting security inspections of citizens who enter or are on County or Court property. Respond quickly to alarm points or any other breaches of security. Operate a radio or other transmitting device to communicate with Court or police personnel. Intervene in potentially problematic situations to diffuse possible violence and summon additional law enforcement. Prepare written reports and records. Operate screening equipment at courthouse entry points. Assist in any area related to security as directed by the Court.
