  As an attorney, have you ever been sued by a client and/or disciplined or cited for a breach of ethics or unprofessional conduct by, or been the subject of a complaint to, any court, administrative agency, bar association, disciplinary committee, or other professional group? If so, please provide the details. If not, please respond "N/A."

  Please describe your experience providing legal services in the area of civil litigation for a client. Emphasize any experience in the following areas: general civil litigation, including pre-litigation advice, pretrial pleadings and discovery, and trial experience (both court trial and jury trial), code enforcement, administrative law, Public Records Act compliance, and general public law. Include any additional experience, familiarity with, or demonstrated interest in the following: legislative drafting, contracts, real property law, Brown Act, and/or constitutional law. In your descriptions, highlight where your work was for a public agency, if applicable.

  Please describe the most significant and complex matter you have handled as an attorney. Include a description of the matter, the challenges you faced, how you overcame them, and the outcome.

  Please describe your experience, in detail, handling labor and employment; litigation, administrative proceedings, legal advice, legal research, working for or in a government entity investigating allegations of employment discrimination, retaliation, and harassment such as Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or similar

  SALARY

  Compensation is based on a five-step salary range, with annual merit-based increases within the salary range.

  RETIREMENT

  HOLIDAYS AND PERSONAL LEAVE

  Mendocino County observes 11 paid holidays per year. Employees are granted 24 – 48 hours of personal leave annually, depending upon Bargaining Unit.

  VACATION

  Accrues at the rate of two weeks per year for three years. Three weeks per year after three years, four weeks after eight years and five weeks after 15 years.

  SICK LEAVE

  Paid sick leave accrues at the rate of 1.25 days per month, or 15 days per year. Accruals are pro-rated for part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week. Part-time employees working less than 20 hours per week, and extra-help employees receive up to 24 hours (or 3 days) of paid sick leave annually.

  MEDICAL, DENTAL, VISION, AND LIFE INSURANCE

  The County and the employee share the cost of an employee selected health care plan; enrollment in the plan includes $20,000 Life Insurance.
