Month-end and quarter-end close process
Participate in month-end, quarter end, and year-end closingactivities including journal entries, account reconciliations,variance analyses, and reserve analyses.Inventory
Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and periodic cyclecountsImplement and coordinate cycle counting program and validate andinvestigate cycle counting variances and resolve issuesMonitor / lead root cause - corrective action for cycle countvariancesWork with operations and product line managers to dispose ofobsolete inventory and aged shop ordersCost Rolls
Coordinate, run, and review for accuracy the annual standard costrollReview standard costs for inaccuracies and make recommendations forchangesCalculate labor and overhead rates and apply overhead costs asrequired by generally accepted accounting principlesMonth End / Analysis
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.Reconcile inventory monthly including E&O calculations, aged WIPreserve, shrink reserve, and other inventory reserves as requiredMonthly Gross Margin report, Inventory Report, and other reportingas needed (ad Hoc, etc).Analysis / Reports on Manufacturing variances monthly and throughoutthe month as requiredAccumulate capital spend and report capital spend to budgetedvariance. Validate spend is applicable to project and should becapitalizedMonthly depreciation and amortization entry and reconciliationsupportSpecial projects as requiredOther
