About Corporate Treasury Technology– Full Stack Developer

  The Corporate Treasury Technology group works across a range of critical systems that support the Firm’s Global Treasury and Cash Management functions. These functions include management of the Firm's liquidity and capital resources, accessing funding markets to support business requirements, and managing the firm's structural FX and interest rate risks. The Corporate Treasury Technology team is responsible for delivering solutions that satisfy industry and government regulations, meet strategic business visions, and optimize Corporate Treasury functions.

  This position is a hands-on role within the Funding, Liquidity Management, and Risk group to deliver Treasury’s strategic and modern Liquidity Management platform. The candidate will be working on a critical initiative to support business growth and to improve real-time liquidity reporting in growth areas. The platform consists of a rich technology stack from Java server side to Angular front end, Spark & Kafka middleware, and Power BI for data analytics and reporting with ongoing work for cloud adoption. As part of the initiative the candidate will help build a state-of-the-art real-time streaming application performing complex enrichments, transformations and aggregations with Kafka streams. The candidate will also be involved in developing a rich and dynamic reporting platform used in analyzing the Firm's liquidity reserve. The ideal candidate possesses business analysis, software engineering, and problem-solving skills for a dynamic work environment.   *Required Skills *The right candidate must have the following key skills:

  Practical knowledge of enterprise software development in Core JavaCompetence with databases and SQLsFamiliarity with messaging protocols & formats and synchronous/asynchronous communication patterns such as REST/HTTP/JMS/KafkaFamiliarity with micro-service architecture and distributed processingPractical knowledge of source control and issue management tools, ideally Git and JIRA or RallyStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with team members globallyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsThe ideal candidate would have the following additional skills:

  Strong experience with SpringBootExperience with Test Driven Development using frameworks such Junit & Mockito and Behavior Driven Development using frameworks such as Cucumber, JBehave and ConcordionExperience with Angular or React and Typescript in addition to their core competencyPractical experience in Agile/Scrum-based development Competence with Unix & LinuxExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
