  The opportunity

  The Corporate Procurement team is looking for an expert Systems Analyst with proven ability and experience in aligning data, driving data improvement and creating tools and programs that support senior leadership insight into operations and key data performance. You’ll work closely with all functions of support the Head of Corporate Procurement and the wider Corporate Procurement strategic agenda. This will include oversight and review of data collection standardisation, interpretation, and analysis, as well as development of new reporting approaches and supporting tools.

  Guided by the Senior leadership team in Corporate Procurement, your ability to interpret large data sets, provide strategic assessment and analysis of the information, will enable performance review and interrogation of all Corporate Procurement functional data, with resulting performance reports used by the Corporate leadership team for Executive reporting, as well as external reports and disclosures.

  You’ll be responsible optimising Corporate Procurements systems and infrastructure for improved efficiency and productivity, including investigating current systems, identifying organisational and operational issues and developing innovative IT solutions. With such a varied role, you’ll have a unique opportunity to interpret large data sets and contribute to the key performance information of the KBR Corporate Procurement operations.

  Who are you?

  We are looking for an individual who is solution oriented and an innovative thinker who can dive into the detail while staying focused on the bigger picture. Responsible for both planning and executing data capture-analysis type work streams, as well as evaluation of qualitative information streams across a diverse range of supply chain organisations and businesses, you’ll be an excellent data analyst and systems-based thinker, who is a natural project manager who is willing and able to roll their sleeves up and get the job done.

  As a systems analyst, you'll typically need to:

  examine and analyse existing IT systems and business models and identify requirements.

  map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems,

  understand software development lifecycles,

  liaise closely with both internal stakeholders,

  translate requirements into highly specified project briefs,

  identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability,

  conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems,

  develop solutions and undertake product development,

  produce project feasibility and costings reports (if new systems are required),

  work closely with programmers, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction,

  draw up, supervise and document testing schedules for complete systems,

  oversee implementation of a new system including data migration,

  support users on change control and system updates,

  establish live links to systems to ensure real time information,

  analyse, cleanse and maintain data for accuracy, correcting data and links to ensure senior leaders can make meaningful decisions,

  provide training and user manuals to users of a new system, and

  keep up to date with technical and industry developments.

  Responsibilities include:

  Provide support to the KBR Corporate Procurement team to develop, deploy and maintain databases, prepare data for inclusion in internal reports, external disclosures, conduct meaningful analysis and provide interpretation of data for Executive leadership as well as other KBR stakeholders.

  Perform systems management and integration functions for all Corporate and procurement tools to improve existing systems, capabilities, functionality, workflow, and automation (as necessary), and support the development of supplier assessments and benchmarking with graphical representation or models which aid awareness and understanding of performance and progress.

  Develop and design new systems from concept to completion,

  Report monthly performance to Corporate Procurement Leadership team,

  Acting as the departmental lead for Corporate Procurement on data, data analysis and data interrogation,

  Oversee and manage Corporate Data systems interfaces, analysis and audit data to facilitating Senior Managers real time decision making, e.g. relating to ERP systems, data capture tools such as CPAR, IT DASH, Service Now, Onbase etc,

  Transform ad hoc user requests or requirements into standardised reporting program and serve as a liaison between various parties, to systemise and automate reporting requirements.

  Communicate clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy—in both oral and written forms of communication and perform all functional duties independently with the minimum of direction.

  Data & System Management support shall include, but not be limited to;

  Collate data, which is relevant, consistent, transparent, accurate and complete, including the identification of an approach for data estimation to manage and maintain 100% coverage of data where gaps arise.

  Develop of data procedures for data capture, comparison, and evaluation.

  Develop and maintain assessment analysis, and the development of modelling techniques to report performance of current and future projects and work activities.

  Develop data segmentation and business unit scorecards for dashboard reporting.

  Perform analysis, data sampling, data audit and assessment to produce performance reports, including the development of graphical representations / models.

  Develop of targets, KPI and other metrics to manage performance,

  Establish, implement, and work with relevant stakeholder to deliver a systems improvement plan, and

  Review competitors, other organisations to assess and benchmark KBR performance .

  Support in the review financial data for suppliers’ goods and services, capital goods and leased assets, etc (in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ‘Technical Guidance for calculating Scope 3 Emissions’, to support carbon disclosures and Carbon Net Zero action planning.

  Qualifications:

  A bachelor's degree in a relevant or related course or data science (e.g. business information systems, business studies, computer science, information technology, information management systems, mathematics or operational research or other science/ engineering-based subjects).

  Proven ability in performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis and methodology development and demonstrated leadership.

  Required skills/experience:

  Demonstrate skills in performing functional analyses of organizations, mission effectiveness, or business processes; and possess the ability to present complex issues in written and graphical forms, including excel and Power BI,

  Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and methodology development,

  Specialized analytical support experience or related/comparable experience with large and complex data sets,

  Experience in design, development, evaluation and audit of data for external reporting or assurance,

  Prepare and maintain technical data, reports, documentation, and briefings,

  Deliver technical reports, preparation of technical briefing materials reports,

  Have a high level of technical expertise and broad knowledge of hardware, software, and programming.

  excellent analytical skills including SQL, Oracle, Visual Basic, C++ and Java, Unified Modelling Language (UML), SAP & Costpoint business software applications, MS Dynamics, and web-based technologies,

  Have good interpersonal and client-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail,

  Have the ability to learn quickly, work as part of a team or independently, have a logical approach to problem solving and have an awareness of current business practices and an interest in the way organisational processes work.

  Desired skills/experience:

  Key experience should include:

  extensive use of spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.

  use of decision support tools; development of databases and models; knowledge of statistical and operations research methods and tools.

  knowledge of SQL, R, Python, Tableau, SAP & Costpoint business software applications, MS Dynamics and other statistical and mathematical software.

  Location/Travel Requirements:

  Full-time

  Agile working (home based)

  Some travel may be required.
