About Core Ops Analyst

  Role Summary:

  The Accounting Control Team Analyst, monitors, analyzes, and collaboratively solutions across teams to resolve cash, foreign currency, and position management issues. The role facilitates collaboration between multiple teams by monitoring, analyzing, and diagnosing, and providing advisory support for low to moderately complex cash, foreign currency, and position management issues. Additionally, the role may lead internal projects of low to moderate complexity and/or support Lead Analyst with more complex projects.

  Primary responsibilities/essential functions-

  Tactical Focus: works with a variety of stakeholders across multiple teams and departments to monitor, analyze, identify, solution, and resolve cash, foreign currency, position, and system issues that are moderate to complex in nature.

  Facilities recommendations on short-term cash management, foreign exchange decisions, cash and position managementEscalates low to moderately complex cross-team and cross-department issuesCash, Position, foreign exchange, Capital System, and Capital's complex system architecture knowledge:May review cash, foreign currency, position, Capital System, and system architecture daily operational controlsCoordinates with other teams (e.g., Fixed Income Portfolio Analysis Group, Fixed Income Trade Operations, Short-term Trading, FX Trading, Reference Data, Corporate Actions, Global Client Services, etc.) and departments (e.g., Legal, Marketing, Investment Group, IT, etc.)Coordinates, escalates, and facilities low to moderately complex cash, foreign currency, position, Capital System, and Capital's various book of records inquiries from Trading, Legal, other IO Teams, clients, and other business units

  Domain Knowledge Focus:

  Applies knowledge, skills, and experience to analyze, formulate, resolve, and escalate issues.Applies knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise to evaluate and recommend a course of action for low to moderately complex cash, foreign currency, position, and system issues. Escalates to the Lead Analyst, if necessary.Remains current on investment management industry standards and regulations on cash, foreign currency, and position management.Develops options and solutions/recommendations based on sound judgement when leading in development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and controls. Leverages knowledge of internal customer needs to anticipate issues and needs and proactively offer options and solutions when communicating with Trading and other IO TeamsConsultative / Business Acumen Focus:

  Team Leadership:

  May review and assist other associates' resolution of cash, foreign exchange, and position management daily operational controlsServes as a resource for cash, foreign exchange, and position management and or cross-functional initiativesParticipates in the training of other associates, when appropriate.Provides feedback and suggestions to the Lead Analyst and/or manager regarding associate performance

  Projects and Initiatives:

  Create project plan, ensures impacts are addressed and regular updates are provided to appropriate team stakeholdersCoordinates the prioritization and identification of process improvement opportunities, gaps, and control enhancementsLeads or participates in team projects and process improvement initiativesIdentifies and suggests ideas to improve workflow and automation and remove or reduce manual interventions associated with cash, position and system issue processingMay leads low to moderately complex internal projects with guidance from the Lead Analyst

  Ideal Candidate Skills/Abilities:

  Plus (not required) - Experience with Aladdin or CRD systems, or investment book of record (IBOR) cash, foreign exchange, and position managementStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Able to investigate cash, foreign exchange, and position management issues of low to moderate complexity, transactional in nature, and/or have been previously encountered, identify root causes, and strategize options and recommendations to resolve the issue.Self-driven (e.g. independently manage worklo0ad and achieve target outcomes)Strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business needs/requirements and knowledge of investment products.Strong industry knowledge (investment operations, order flow, short-term cash management, foreign exchange, various book or record systems, etc.)Experience with cash and position management for fixed income products and derivative instrumentsFamiliarity with investment management systems including transactional flows and impacts from a cash, position and manager impact perspective - investment book of record, accounting book of record, and manager and results book of recordsStrong collaboration skills - working within and across teams and stakeholder groups to assess and resolve low to moderate complex cash and position issuesAbility to consume, digest, and apply information quicklySelf-driven (e.g. independently manage worklo0ad and achieve target outcomes)Good project management experience and capabilities (lead or manager)Excellent organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skills including with management with a focus on being able to bridge the gap between business and IT language and the ability to communicate 'the why' behind issuesAbility to work in ambiguous situations, create clarity, and drive towards effective outcomesStrong computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  Orange County Base Salary Range: $95,066-$152,106

  In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
