Statement of the Job:
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage the day to day operations of the New Balance Student Recreation Center, including the hiring, training and all oversight of student entry desk staff and student managers. This position will also schedule and support all special events within the NBSRC, the NBSRC Pool and Bridge Tennis Courts including training and scheduling any required staff. The person in this position will also schedule and train staff for special events including Campus Recreation programming including the President’s Annual Dinner on the Mall and any student Welcome Week activities and events that Campus Recreation sponsors and/or supports. Typical hiring range for this position is $42,000 to $45,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration, Recreation Administration, Education, or a related field.
Experience leading or overseeing a university-based recreation facility and related informal recreation programs.
Experience training and supervising staff in a fast-paced, high volume customer service based environment.
Experience with software used in facility/sales management.
CPR/First Aid certification with Professional Rescuer.
Required to maintain certifications.
Demonstrated student-client centered philosophy and approach.
Preferred:
American Red Cross CPR-PRO Instructor rating.
Master’s degree.
