JOB TITLE: Co-op EngineerREPORT TO: Engineering ManagerJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Determine design parameters with Engineering Manager, Project Engineer and Sales Engineer in the kick-off meeting, if applicable.2. Writes advance purchase requisitions for long delivery items. Write all additional purchase requisitions required for each job and submit all requisitions to Engineering Manager.3. Review proposal, pre-engineering form and customer specs. Advise the Engineering Manager or Project Engineer of any problems.4. Advise Engineering Manager or Project Engineer of any design problems and work with them on possible solutions.5. Prepare detailed drawings.6. Prepare shop order forms.7. Run blueprints as required for customer approval, shop fabrication, field installation, purchasing, etc.8. Keep accurate time records and submit to Engineering Manager at the end of each workweek.9. Observe shop progress daily and advise Engineering Manager or Project Engineer as to any problems that exist or possible problems that might exist.10. Work with Engineering Manager or Project Engineer as requested to solve equipment installation problems.NOTES:Several routine tasks must be accomplished by all personnel such as filing, stocking of supplies, answering telephones, etc. These tasks should be distributed as equitably as practical. It is left to the individual judgment as to whom and how much effort should be expended in this area. Use of good common sense and judgment will result in accomplishing these tasks in an equitable manner.On occasion the Co-op Engineer will be called upon to perform other functions such as preparation of proposal drawings, artwork, for advertisements, etc. These tasks should be performed only when instructed by the Engineering Manager or Project Engineer, and has a rule should never take precedence over job responsibilities 1 through 10 above.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
