  Description

  This position requires a PT schedule (shifts:* _Sunday, Monday, & Wednesdays 6a-2p)_ _*_

  Rate increase to $18 /hour

  This is a professional/manual position involving the preparation and serving all employee, client and guest meals. Initially, individual may work with significant guidance, but eventually the individual is expected to make significant contributions to team and work with general guidance.Located in Orlando, FL, this position is responsible for various duties to include:

  Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus

  Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed

  Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures

  Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator

  Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care.

  Qualifications

  EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred. Must be able to read at 12th grade level.

  EXPERIENCE: At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting preferred Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull

  and reach above shoulders.

  Schedule:

  Must be able to complete atwo-week(Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.Other Requirements:

  Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, and TB Test.

  Valid driver's license
