  University of KentuckyEqual Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status.Posting Details Posting Details Job TitleControls Engineering SupervisorRequisition NumberRE43538Working TitleDepartment Name3CU00:Utilities & Energy ManagementWork LocationLexington, KYGrade Level45Salary Range$22.50-37.13/hourType of PositionStaffPosition Time Status Full-TimeRequired EducationBAClick here for more information about equivalencies:https://hr.uky.edu/employment/working-uk/equivalenciesRequired Related Experience5 yrsRequired License/Registration/CertificationNone.Physical RequirementsStanding or walking with objects up to 25lbs; Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; Repetitive motion.May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or weather/temperature extremes while on or traveling to/from various job sites.Shift7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Friday)Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors, emergencies, and/or crisis management requiring night(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.Job SummaryReporting to the Controls Engineering Manager, the Controls Engineering Supervisor oversees seamlessly integrated Building Automation System/Energy Management System including building controls, Graphical User Interface, Swisslog, Primex/NTS, Critical Research Equipment Monitoring, and Elevator Monitoring; Maintains all BAS, Elevator Monitoring, Swisslog, and Wireless Clock Servers; Supports systems installed for BAS/Security/Wireless Clocks/Elevator/Swisslog database; Performs necessary communication, maintenance, upgrades, and programming; Ensures daily back-up and protection of data to avoid critical catastrophic loss; Archives older data as required and pulls from archive; Interacts with Facilities Information Systems on hardware upgrades as needed; Supports HVAC/Maintenance Technicians; Controls Engineering Technicians in establishing, installing, maintaining, and operating the required hardware and software; Supports HVAC/Maintenance Technicians; Controls Engineering Technicians in troubleshooting building system problems, involving Security, Swisslog, Primex, and Elevator Systems; Provides system data and consult with other technicians while troubleshooting system problems to include network systems, BAS, Security, Elevators, Swisslog and Wireless Clocks; Coordinates and oversees projects and assigned work teams; and May prioritize assigned tasks for other employees.In addition, this position collaborates with Project Managers to complete Building Automation System (BAS); Security; Elevator Monitoring Systems; and Wireless Clock installation; Creates Graphical User Interface for BAS; Adds new buildings/systems to the Building Automation System (BAS); Security; Elevator Monitoring Systems; and Wireless Clock systems as they come on line; Creates new screens, as required; Installs new control points; Writes and/or completes programming; Completes hardware; wiring configuration; trending; and alarming installations; and Performs daily back-up operations.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesMS Windows/Office; MS Project; SAP; KRONOSTridium AX/N4 Certification — PreferredDriver’s License — PreferredDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
