Description:
Controls Engineer will support our clients engineering team in the overall design and development of industrial automation machinery for General Motors as well as additional projects for other company clients such as Cummins, Ford, Chrysler, Fives, ETC. This is going to start off specifically supporting a project out of Toledo, OH, for GM Toledo. It is a big engine/transmission plant that creative has won a big project at and install is expected to go through 2024.
Duties include:
-Work in office: receive specifications for specific customer for automated equipment, write PLC code from scratch, or editing/changing existing PLC code
-Work out on shop floor with team members to perform start-up of the machine in-house, perform any necessary debugging and troubleshooting.
-After machine has been built, continue to be involved in the installation of the machines to the customer site, perform do start-ups, debug any issues, and troubleshoot any issues, before moving on to the next project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have:
-3+ Years Allen Bradley or Siemens experience (Ability to write logic from a template, change existing code, troubleshoot and commission machines)AB is preferred over Siemens
-Automation Equipment Experience (worked with an integrator and not in a plant setting/maintenance setting, need someone who can integrate equipment and write plc code)
