The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the St. Paul, Minnesota region. Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. You will succeed in this position if you can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. 　　How you will make an impact

　　Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

　　Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

　　Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

　　Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

　　Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

　　Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

　　Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

　　Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

　　Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

　　Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

　　Requirements

　　Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

　　Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

　　Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

　　Prior work done in public accounting is desired

　　Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

　　Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　Excellent attention to detail

　　Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

　　Human Resources (HR) Administration experience preferred

　　Prepare Annual Budgets experience required

　　Financial statement preparation experience

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
