Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Controller, based in Endicott, New York. As a Controller, your main role will be to supervise the financial team and their work, assist with the implementation of the general ledger, and perform some tax work. You will also be responsible for financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and end-of-month tasks. This role can be performed 100% remotely, making it suitable for candidates located on the East Coast.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the financial team and their work to ensure efficiency and accuracy

• Assist with the implementation of the general ledger to maintain financial records

• Perform some tax work to ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Provide financial reporting to keep stakeholders informed about the company's financial status

• Support budgeting and forecasting to help the company plan its finances

• Carry out end-of-month tasks to close accounts and prepare reports

• Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure they are up to date

• Process customer credit applications accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate customer credit records to keep track of credit history and status

• Use Sage Intacct for all financial processes and procedures.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.

• Knowledge of CRM tools is expected.

• Ability to use Crystal Reports is preferred.

• Must be skilled in various Accounting Functions.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.

• Competence in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.

• Auditing skills are a must.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is crucial.

• Experience with Sage Intacct is beneficial.
