We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in New Haven County. The role involves a variety of key tasks within the financial industry, focusing primarily on overseeing accounting functions and maintaining the integrity of financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Close month-end accounts, providing detailed reports and feedback on financial performance.

• Administer payroll procedures, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

• Use accounting software systems to streamline and automate financial tasks.

• Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Address and resolve any financial inquiries and issues, providing high-quality customer service.

• Contribute to financial decision-making processes within the organization.

• If necessary, apply knowledge of HR processes and standards to enhance organizational efficiency.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Strong experience in Month End Close procedures

• Ability to handle and manage Payroll

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent time management skills

• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate action

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High level of integrity and professionalism
